The University at Buffalo has received a $2.8 million grant from the National Institute of Child Health and Development for a clinical trial about pregnancy.
The economy sucks, good jobs are hard to find and people are leaving the area in droves. The reason is the large amount of money the government takes from individuals and businesses. Large amounts of the money taken is wasted and this study is an example of that waste.
There is no reason that the average person should be forced by threat of imprisonment to support studies like this. Leave the money in the private sector and it will create jobs and economic growth.
Research has become an extension of government when it comes to funding. If all research was left to the private economy, only research that is wanted and worthwhile would be undertaken. Private research is also more cost efficient because companies are using their money.
