An Endorsement for Tom Suozzi

When Tom Suozzi came to town early in August, I had an opportunity to ask former Mayor Jimmy Griffin if his presence was an endorsement for Tom Suozzi as Governor.  His answer was short and to the point - “Absolutely!”

Buffalo Pundit takes exception to my remarks about Marc Coppola. He then makes the baseless assertion, in the follow-up comments, that Free Buffalo is not serious about abolishing the political “machine.”

Pundit’s endorsement of Eliot Spitzer, announced on Hardline with Hardwick, spoke volumes and cast serious doubts about his objectivity on issues involving the political “machine.” He couldn’t have endorsed “machine” politics any louder without advocating  a return to Tammany Hall. Pundit’s recent statement on Byron Brown underscores his position - “a man who has really impressed me in recent weeks, and someone who is really trying to make a difference.”

Two politicians, bought and paid for by the special interests, supported by Buffalo Pundit. If you want to endorse machine politics, that is your business. However, attempting to marginalize groups, such as Free Buffalo, for fighting the political “machine” is disingenuous at best.
