It seems that everyday I am learning something new about Adobe Photoshop CS2. Some of it by trial and error, sometimes searching the web for specific info and other times from notes other people have put on their photos on Flickr. This week I ran across an interesting photo on Flickr and the note explained that a “script” process was used in photoshop called CHLomoScript. Luckily the person included a link with more information. I have never used a “script” before. Basically a “script” will automate several functions in photoshop according to predetermined parameters. Anyway, I downloaded the script into the appropriate directory. The four photos in the slide show below were all tweaked using the “script.” Many of the photos looked terrible with this processing, some looked very good.

The State is and ought to be nothing whatever but community force organized, not to be an instrument of oppression and mutual plunder among citizens, but, on the contrary, to guarantee to each his own, and to cause justice and security to reign.

It appears that the NYS Police could be on the verge of capturing Ralph “Bucky” Phillips. There have been several significant events today during the massive manhunt. The events have included two stolen car chases and a K9 officer approaching and firing upon Phillips.
Early today, police were in pursuit of a stolen car. Ralph Phillips was believed to have been the driver. The chase ended when the car crashed into a tree and the driver escaped. A second car was stolen 25 minutes later and police also pursued that vehicle. That chase ended when the driver, again believed to be Phillips, jumped from the moving vehicle and disappeared into nearby woods. This happened about 2:30 am this morning.
The State Police picked up a possible trail, detected by a K9 unit, at 9 am today. The K9 officer’s dog subsequently began to growl and bark, at approximately 9:10 am, and Phillips turned around and aimed a pistol at the officer. Phillips did not get a shot off, however the officer fired several rounds in Phillips direction. It is not known whether or not Ralph Phillips was shot.
The police now believe they have Phillips contained in an area about a ½ mile over the Pennsylvania border. They are systematically searching the area and believe they have a very good chance to capture him.
The search for Ralph “Bucky” Phillips, America’s most wanted fugitive, has dominated local news coverage recently. The topic has been a hot one on local blogs and forums, such as SpeakUpWNY. Initially, a fair amount of people seemed to view Phillips as a modern day folk hero. That perception has all but disappeared with the shooting of 3 NYS Troopers and the death of one those Troopers.
