Last Call for the Italian Festival

If you are reading this, get outside now, it is a gorgeous day (I’m out the door after this post). If you haven’t visited the Italian Heritage Festival on Hertel Avenue yet, today is your last chance. If you’re a foodie, don’t miss it. This year offerings include an expanded selection of local restaurants. There is something to do for all; live music, great food, bocce ball and running into people you haven’t seen for a while. Here’s a few pics in a slide-show.

Yesterday a great time was had by all who attended the SpeakupWNY picnic at Chestnut Ridge. The weather was perfect, the good was great, and the conversation was interesting. Thanks to Tony Fracasso, onlinemedia and speakupwny, for sponsoring this event. An added plus was being able to meet fellow Buffalo Bloggers at the BloggerCon Picnic right next door.

There are a few obstructionists causing problems for the Hotel Development at Elmwood and Forest. The project has the overwhelming support of the community and the developer has bent over backwards to address neighborhood concerns. The rally is being promoted by WNYmedia.net, here’s the details:

Buffalo, NY - With such short notice, were just going to keep it to a rally with an “informal” gathering at Coles afterwards to discuss any other steps that may need to be taken and how people can get more involved..

  • THE GREAT BANANA BLACKOUT
  • Monday July 17th
  • 5:00 - ???
  • Corner of Elmwood and Forest
  • We will have paper, markers, etc… but feel free to bring your own…

If it turns into an after party then so-be-it.

See you Monday!!
