It has been revealed that the NSA has a massive database containing tens of millions of domestic phone records of American citizens. President Bush was quick to hold a press conference defending the practice. After watching the video of the press conference, I was left with the distinct impression that we are being lied to once again by the President. His facial expressions, following each statement, said “do you think they bought that one?”

Bush claims that everything is legal and necessary to target terrorists.

“Al-Qaeda is our enemy, and we want to know their plans,” he said. “We are not mining or trolling through the personal lives of innocent Americans.”

How does this justify having records on tens of millions of Americans?
