As most of us know by now, Quiznos at Delaware and Avery is no more. It has been closed for a few weeks. I’m not surprised at all, I felt the product was overpriced and the variety of ingredients in many of the subs was too ambitious to work well. Whoever managed that location didn’t know what they were doing. The customer service from the employees was awful.
Good news - Spotted in the window today was a “coming soon” sign from none other than Jim’s Steakout.

I’ll take a loaded hoagy any day over the offerings of Quiznos.

A lawyer was smacked down by the courts for using his legal knowledge to gain an unfair advantage in the purchase of a house valued at nearly $2,000,000. The kicker is that the house belonged to his elderly parents. After pressuring his parents into the deal without any outside legal advice, he purchased the home for a mere $1,000 per month, no money down, with the agreement to let his parents continue living in the home. Among other things, the deal specified that the lawyer, and his wife, were to care for and provide meals to the parents. The elder Campbells allege that they were subsequently confined to their bedroom and that meals frequently consisted of sandwiches.
The judge ruled that Edward J. Campbell, Jr. provided demonstrably inadequate consideration for the conveyance of the property and that his legal role in the transaction was “conflicted” because he acted as “mediator, attorney and financial advisor.”
